The lodge was built around two imposing kopjes.
The common areas such as the restaurant, bar & swimming pool are built high up, while the tents are on the ground. 14 tents in total: Each tent has a thatched roof. All the tents are built into the rocks & face the surrounding “Togoro plains” which stretch as far as the eye can see. Each tent is equipped with WC, shower, sinks, a desk, armchairs & beds. Electricity (100% solar) is available 24/7
The restaurant which is thatched & thoughtfully decorated is built on a platform in the heart of the rocks. The restaurant opens onto a large veranda which overlooks the camp and the plain. The bar is a little further down and offers a warm atmosphere in the evening.
Installed in the hollow of the rocks, the swimming pool offers a magnificent view of the surrounding plains.
Togoro plains is a permanent lodge which opened in 2023 The “Togoro plains” are in the northern part of the Serengeti, halfway between Seronera and Lobo. This area is great for wildlife all year due to it having permanent water holes. The Serengeti NP has classed the region as a “rhino sanctuary” because a few black rhinos have settled there.
