The 31 chalets, junior suites and family rooms are harmoniously scattered throughout the sprawling tropical grounds. Every detail has been carefully designed to provide comfort and tranquility. The beautiful swimming pool, set in lush gardens, invites you to linger, while the impressive variety of mature trees creates an atmosphere of natural harmony.

After adventurous excursions, the pool area offers comfortable sun loungers, a sun terrace and a lovingly designed bathhouse (with showers, toilets and changing rooms) for welcome refreshment. The small massage room, where soothing treatments pamper the body and mind, provides moments of relaxation.

Sustainability is at the heart of Ameru: we work hard to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible. The fresh water we provide for your rooms and meals is treated on-site using the latest filtration technologies. Solar energy already contributes to our hot water supply - a small way of giving back to nature.

The main house of the former coffee farm exudes warmth and authenticity with its traditional makuti roof. On several levels you will find an inviting lobby, a cozy lounge and a spacious restaurant. The bar and open fireplace in the spacious lounge area create an atmosphere that invites you to enjoy unforgettable moments both during the day and in the evening.

ARUMERU RIVER LODGE

The lodge is located exactly half way between Kilimanjaro airport and Arusha town, roughly one kilometer from the main road, in a unique protected area. It is esta blished on a property of seven hectares and fenced on its outer perimeters.
