Itinerary

Arrive Tel Aviv Airport. Transfer to the hotel, overnight.

Pick up at the hotel and drive to Jerusalem while your tour guide tells you about the city's turbulent religious past. Visit the Mount of Olives overlooking the Old City and walk past the Jewish Cemetery, Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations in the Kidron Valley before entering Old Zion Gate through the Zion Gate.

Cross the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter, past the Byzantine Cardo, and stop at the Western Wall (Wailing Wall). Follow the footsteps of Jesus along Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which is said to be on the site where the crucifixion took place.

Around noon, take a break for lunch (at your own expense) and later leave the Old Jerusalem through the Jaffa Gate to visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. Follow the stories of the millions of Jews who died during the Second World War, through poignant portrayals, and then return to Tel Aviv.

The day tour begins with the descent into the Judean Desert, a barren wilderness in the heart of the Holy Land. On the way you will visit the Samaritan Inn before taking the cable car to the Masada summit. The remoteness and the difficult path to the cliffs make this a perfect fortress, and here King Herod built two fortified palaces over 2,000 years ago.

After exploring the archaeological ruins of Masada, we continue to the Dead Sea, past the Ein Gedi Oasis and the ancient settlement of Qumran. Here you will have the opportunity to see the many caves where around 900 parchments of religious significance were discovered - the infamous Dead Sea scrolls.

The Dead Sea is the next stop. Here you have about two hours to relax at the mineral level and enjoy the surreal experience of floating in the salty water, 400 meters below sea level! Do not miss the chance to take a mud bath in the world's richest source of natural salts.

You will travel from Tel Aviv to Nazareth, where you will visit popular places of the Holy Land, including the Annunciation Basilica (where the Virgin Mary saw the angel Gabriel) and the Church of St. Joseph.

Continue north through the small village of Kafer Kana. On your day trip through the sacred land, visit the Bread and Fish Reproduction Church on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus performed the wonders of bread and fish, giving food to 5,000 people.

Stop by the shores of Lake Galilee to explore the old fishing village of Capernaum and discover the ruins of the celebrated Great Synagogue, where Jesus spoke to his disciples for the first time.

Finally, drive through the coastal city of Tiberias and arrive in Jardenit - a sacred place at the southern end of Lake Galilee, where the Jordan flows into the Dead Sea. Many Christian visitors to the region feel a deep connection to the Jordan.
