Arrival at Windhoek airport. Transfer to your accommodation. Check-In. Leisure time. 1x Night in Windhoek (B, D)

Short orientation trip in Windhoek with an English speaking guide.

Windhoek is with its approximately 300,000 inhabitants the largest city in Namibia and at the same time capital. The pretty town is located at 1,650 m altitude picturesquely in a basin. Germans colinial past is recognisable in many areas; German restaurants, bread, sausage, beer and German culture.

Dinner together and tour meeting at Joe's Beer House. 1 night. (B, D)

The first stage leads you through the typical African bush savannah in north direction. On a crocodile farm near Otjiwarongo, your lunch for picnic awaits you on a shady spot. Guided tour on the crocodile farm (bookable on site). Your final destination is the Etosha National Park. Your lodge is located nearby the park between Outjo Town and Anderson Gate. 2 nights. Approximately 400 km (B, L, D)

Safari-trip with the expedition truck through the park. The famous Etosha National Park is covering an area of more than 22,000 square kilometers. It was declared a wildlife sanctuary by the German-Southwest African administration in 1907. Located in the center is an extensive salt flat, surrounded by grass and thorn savannahs, mopane bush in the west and dry forest in the northeast.

About 2 million years ago, there was a huge lake, which was fed by the Kunene River and later dried up by changing the course of the river. Almost the entire range of African big game is represented in the park. (B, L, D)

Safari-trip with your 4x4 bus. You will cross the nearly recently undeveloped western part of the Etosha National Park. Rhinos graze in the plains, majestic lions hide in the high grass of the steppe, giraffes look for food in the treetops - you can experience Africa's wildlife at close range. You leave the park at Otjivazandzu.

At the lodge the day ends up at the sunny terrace. 1 night. Approximately 250 km (B, L, D)

In the morning you will visit Kamanjab, a village of the Himba, a semi-nomadic shepherds who have been able to preserve their ethnic identity and culture in the remoteness of this region. You can expect a very special landscape experience. Passing typical Damara - villages the journey leads to the northwest of Namibia. The original Damaraland is unique in its geology and very varied. Rugged mountains, barren desert landscapes and deep river valleys shape the picture of this lonely, almost untouched region. The indescribable charm lies in the meeting of different desert landscapes and the changing colors every hour. Your destination is the Palmwag Lodge. In the afternoon you hike on the so-called "sundowner mountain". Enjoy the sunset with an ice-cold beer or a glass of wine. 2 nights. Approximately 210 km (B, L, D)

Today you will explore the property in an open 4x4 safari-bus. In this unique landscape in the wild Damaraland, with a bit of luck, you may spot the rare black rhino and desert elephants that have adapted to life in this almost waterless area. (B, D)

Along the surf-ridden West Coast you reach the Cross Cape. The Portuguese sailor Diego Cao was the first European who reached the Cape. The original of the cross, which he had built here, is now in the German Museum of History in Berlin. The Cross Cape is also famous for the largest seal colony in Namibia, about 100,000 animals. Continue to Swakopmund. The afternoon is at your free disposal. 2 nights. Approximately 480 km (B, L)

The coastal town had great importance as a port during the German colonial era. The cityscape is characterized by numerous colonial buildings. A landmark of the city is the Woermann House from 1905. The former trading house on Bismarck Street with its 25 meter high Damara Tower and its arcaded courtyard is now residence of the municipal library and an art gallery. The day is at your leisure. (B)

In the morning optional possibility for a boat trip to Pelican Point. A lonely road in the middle of the desert and the legendary Kuiseb Pass will bring you to Solitaire, a place "in the middle of nowhere" where you will find your present accommodation. 2 nights. Approximately 280 km (B, D)

The Sossusvlei is a clay sink surrounded by mighty sand dunes. Some of the dunes reach heights of 300 meters and are among the highest in the world. The tour starts early in the morning to experience the first light of the day on the dunes - at sunrise, an incredible color panorama, with the light and shadow play constantly changing. Before the first footprints blur the contours, you can photograph the dunes completely "untouched". Oryx antelope under shady acacia trees, "Nara" plants that stand out in bright green from the red sand and - especially photogenic - the dead trees in the white valley of Deadvlei. Most impressive is the clarity of the light and the magic of the colors.

Have a picnic lunch in the open air and enjoy the expanse of Namibia, "where the sky is higher". Felt invigorated; visit of the Sesriem Canyon on the way back. The 30 m deep gorge is the result of a long erosion process, in the depth of you will find almost ponds. The first settlers had to tie together six oxcock straps to pull up the water. Approximately 240 km (B, L, D)

Drive into the red coloured dunes of the Kalahari. The amounts of sand were created by erosion of soft rock formations, of these the wind formed elongated "sand ridges". These dune waves are so characteristic of the landscape in the Kalahari. 2 nights. Approximately 290 km (B, D)

In the morning the Bushmen takes you on a hike to the "Veld" and explain how they achieve the hard life as a hunter and gatherer in the Kalahari. Their hunting methods as well as her medical knowledge are especially exciting. (B, D)

Transfer to the airport (about 290 km) of Windhoek for your flight home.(B) Departure flight time from Windhoek will be after 8 pm.

Arrival at the airport. Individual drive home.
